ROUTINE PREVENTIVE CARE
Oral health affects general health. Oral problems can interfere with eating, speaking and your child’s self-esteem. A healthy smile keeps your child on track developmentally and positively impacts confidence. Not to mention, preventative dentistry is less extensive and less expensive dental care.
Teeth cleaning and polishing treatment is part of your child’s preventative program and should be done by our pediatric dentist every six months. We use special paste to polish teeth and remove any plaque build up. It is important for parents and their children to know proper brushing and flossing techniques. Dr. Maturin and her friendly team will demonstrate this at your child’s appointment.
PREVENTIVE DENTISTRY INVOLVES:

- A balanced, healthy diet
- Fluoride treatments, when necessary
