Letter to Patients Concerning Covid-19
A Note to Our Patients:
We deeply care about the safety of our patients, team and community. As we are all familiar, the COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted every aspect of our day-to-day routines. The Louisiana Department of Health has allowed us to reopen with specific guidelines. On April 28th, we are excited to welcome you back! We greatly appreciate your patience during this time.
In order to reduce the chances of transmission of COVID-19 and to ensure the safety of our team, our patients, and our community, we will be implementing several new protocols in addition to our already extensive universal precautions. We will also be following the new recommendations from the CDC, the American Dental Association, and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Social Distancing:
To minimize the number of people in the office, we ask that patients adhere tightly to their appointment times. We ask that upon arrival, you remain in your car and call the office. One of our staff members will alert you to when we are able to see your child. We also ask that one adult accompany the patient to their appointment and that any other siblings who do not have an appointment remain at home if possible.
Wellness Questionnaire:
Upon your arrival, you will be greeted in the foyer by one of our staff. There you will be given hand sanitizer, asked a brief health questionnaire, and your temperature will be taken.Ā We will ask anyone who has a fever of over 100.4 degrees to be rescheduled.
Personal Protective Equipment:
In the clinic, you will see we are wearing additional protective gear. Even if you are unable to tell, we are smiling behind our masks. As recommended by the CDC, we encourage parents to wear your own mask.
Post-Appointment Recording:
The Louisiana Department of Health requires that every patient seen in the dental office be contacted 10-14 days after your visit, ensuring that your health status has not changed.
We thank you for your continued support and patience as we persevere together as a united community. Please know that we remain steadfast in our dedication to you, our patients. Please do not hesitate to contact us regarding any questions.
As always, be safe and keep smilingš
Dr. Erin
